Position Description: This individual will be part of an energetic and results-oriented systems development team to define, construct, and maintain customer-facing Client  website applications.  Position requires a well rounded programmer/analyst with highly technical hands-on development experience as well as Project Management / Analytical / Business skills.

Ø      Plan, design and develop web-based applications to support the “ CLIENT “ customer-facing websites including eCatalog and eCommerce applications.

Ø      Hands-on programming of new and existing eBusiness applications is a critical job component.

Ø      As required, responsible for the complete system development life cycle - producing detailed User Requirements, Functional/Technical Specification, Coding, Testing, and Implementation. 

Ø      Provide support of existing applications including troubleshooting, bug fixes, and minor enhancements of existing applications.

Ø      Configuration and administration of third-party utilities and applications as required to support eBusiness.

 

Position Qualifications/Competencies - Required

 

Skill Needed: JAVA J2EE, Spring 2.0, Hibernate 3.0, JSP, Tiles, HTML, Java script, DWR, jQuery, XML, XSL/XSLT, JAXP, ANT, CVS, Oracle 10g, Tomcat 6.0, LDAP, Eclipse,

                        Weblogic, Sql Navigator 4.5.1, Toad, Unix.

KEY : Need very good communication skills.  Need very good front end Java experience.  Experience developing web sites . Good client facing interaction skills

 

5+ years of hands on working experience designing, coding, testing, documenting and maintaining web based applications in a multiple platform environment. External customer website experience preferred.

Development and implementation experience with the following technologies

Required: J2EE/Java, JavaScript, AJAX, and Oracle SQL.

Preferred: Unix, Dojo, Websphere, PL/SQL, Apache, and Shell scripting,

Experience authoring Business Requirements, Functional/Technical Specifications, Use Cases, Data Models, and Test Plans.

Must be self-motivated and results-oriented with the ability to multi-task and work as part of large team environment.

Excellent oral and written communication.  Confident communicator, comfortable communicating with project sponsor and user champions.

Required Education Level:

Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science/Engineering OR equivalent experience and knowledge required

 

Rate for this position is up to 45/hr W2

  To lead design efforts with developers, other architects, system analysts, etc…
·         Will break down business and technology problems (not code level discussions)
·         Will help in taking ideas, flush them out, gather/facilitate design teams, and make recommendations on how to move forward.
·         Will determine high level system architecture
·         Will help to define architectural standards and best practices within those disciplines.
·         Will interact with Senior management and others to effect solutions in support of technical and business requirements
·         Will prepare and maintain documents that include architecture diagrams, data models, and navigation maps
·         Will analyze and prepare recommendations to address existing and potential trouble areas in systems and procedures as well as design and recommendation on new solutions both in relation to hardware and software design.

Skills:

·         Absolutely needs to be able to lay out a technical solution in a way that the client could easily understand.
·         Strong experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
·         Worked in or around Agile projects
·         Understanding of architectural concepts, n-tier architectures, and databases
·         Well versed in large enterprise environments (ie millions of transactions)
·         Telecom experience (+); if not telecom, large enterprise required
·         Development background
·         Need strong leadership – will run meetings, guide the architectural process
·         Needs to be very “quick” minded

Rate for this position is up to 50/hr
